Position: Mainframe Developer (XGen Must)
Location: NJ / CA / MN
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Client name will disclosed at the time of submission for this position.
Position Description:
Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.
Experienced IBM Mainframe developer (Mainframe Environment (XGEN, COBOL, CICS, JCL and DB2) with deep COBOL expertise needed for a challenging, high visibility project on our strategic claims system. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Supports testing and defect resolution.
Required Skills
IBM Mainframe experience - 6 yrs
DB2 experience - 3 yrs
XGEN – Must Have
COBOL experience - 3 yrs
SQL experience - 3 yrs
Preferred skills:
VSAM, JCL, Endevor, Xpediter experience
